You can make your own mix; but it would take many, many albums to put together what this album acheives.Add to that the fact that this isn't just six favorite pieces, but a round ONE HUNDRED. I'm pretty sure that I've found a future favorite, folks! If this is your first classical collection, congratulations... this is a keeper. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Wonderful but Anonymous, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Meditation: Classical Relaxation (MP3 Download) This is a wonderful collection, and at less than $.02 per piece, bordering on criminal in its bargain. My one complaint is that the composers of the pieces are not identified. Many pieces are well known, e.g., the Funeral March. But what about these:Andante Nocturne Those titles narrow things down to about 2 million pieces! Of course this collection could make for a great party with all of your rowdy classical music loving friends, playing a lengthy game of "Name that composer." You supply the cognac, with all the money you saved in purchasing this bargain. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Good but imperfect, By Daniel Greenberg (Washington, DC USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Meditation: Classical Relaxation (MP3 Download) Nice idea for a collection, good choices, and some good performances, unlike some notable weaknesses in other Amazon classical collections.Amazon really needs to include full information, like composer. Also, some have too much tension to be truly meditative. Like #4. Adagio (from String Quartet in C, Miklos Perenyi, Bartok Quartet. But for two bucks, how can anyone argue? I just hope the performers are getting appropriately compensated. |
