Since I liked the G10 I wanted something similar and got lots of advice from friends. Bottom line is the G12 is a good camera, easy to operate, and takes great pictures. I'm not a professional and haven't even read all the directions so I still have lots to learn about the specifics of the G12. The zoom is good as well as the focus. Good camera for me. Besides being a better deal, I especially like the whole kit and not having to purchased the memory card and case separately.
