The Zuca bag has become the standard carry-all for figure skaters, and as and adult skater, I resisted buying one for awhile. It's hard to imagine that a bag can possibly be worth $150, but I have to say, I've never regretted a penny I've spent on it. There are numerous features that make this a great bag. It's very roomy inside (even more so than it looks)- I can fit skates, a couple of pairs of guards, towels, change of clothes- it all goes in the main compartment. The bag also has numerous side pockets and compartments. Some zipper, some do not. My CDs, water bottle, extra socks and tights, papers, etc. all go in the side pockets. This really does serve as a carry-all. It's so much easier to just wheel one bag into the rink. This bag is also sturdy. An adult can easily sit or stand on it (I can say that from experience, as I stood on it to open my window when I locked myself out of my house.) It is nicely constructed and beautiful!(2 comments tho: 1) the adhesive velcro that attaches the top of the bag to the inside of the frame doesn't always stay attached well, but everything else is so well made that this doesn't affect the look or use of the bag at all, I just reattach it whenever I notice that it has come loose. and, 2) My bag arrived with no instructions on how to attach the bag to the frame. I had no trouble figuring out how to put it together by just looking at it all and looking at pictures online. But I thought it was odd that there were no directions at all.) |
