Acoustic guitar and Mr Smith singing very nice song. The Thermals, Now We Can See. Initial different opening vocal; oh way oh oh and strong band. Spoken message vocal over the band who have to retreat to make way for the singer. Not bad too preachy for me. Track 3 is Gossip with Standing In The Way Of Control. Cool opening bitchy vocal over fast paced song w/strong beat. Very nice, danceable, punky and original. Like it. Thao & Mirah play Eleven. Messy strong unique sound. Drums, sticks, keyboard and intense vocal. Competent and enjoyable. Wanna hear more. Track 5 is Milagres with Glowing Mouth (Radio Edit). Musical singer over low battery smoke detector warning. Grows into okay song, somber plodding sound. I am sure the band is saying something worthwhile. Xiu Xiu bring us I Luv the Valley OH! Singer not as good as he thinks... I usually find one or two songs from the indie downloads that are interesting, if not great. This usually gets me look into the band. However, "Kill Rock Stars 20 year comp." songs are either noisy or boring.
