This is partially a matter of sensibility, and I didn't wish her to do Sea-Sew again, but her voice gets a little overwhelmed under all that Coldplay. Plus, it's a less sincere vibe. Anyway, things do settle down. If you are new to Lisa's music, or follower, you will not be disappointed. What I love is that there is a different sound to it then Sea Sew. I just saw her last night and when she is performing live, all the music flows together nicely. I listened to this in my car the first time and then at work, with headphones, the second. Big difference. I didn't get any work done for about 40 minutes. All I could do was listen. It's a beautiful set of tunes, great production, outstanding lyrics. A perfect follow up to Sea Sew. If you don't buy it, well, your loss, I guess. |
