The soft boot's lightweight, breathable design is not only comfortable, but gives you added support from the hard shell. Fit-wise, the skate boasts a cam lever buckle with a power strap, so you can make easy adjustments while skating. And the SS-800 owes its performance to its 80mm Race Formula urethane wheels and Bevo ABEC-9 racing bearings. The SS-800 includes a heel braking system.

I would give the actual skate a 5 star, they endured wonderfully on the road test. However, my rating wouldn't be that high for the actual company that sold them. They ask that if you need to return them that the skates be in perfect condition, which I understand, but what isn't so nice is that they will charge you 25% of the product price (when they only tell you 20% which is equally ridiculous.) for you to return them even in perfect condition. And while the shipping was fast and efficient, the box of the product was beaten badly. So I would give them a two for being a pain to work with but the skates were at a good price and so far good skates too. Just beware of the company, Roller Derby and InlineSkates-net. Thanks. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful:  Adult item with child quality, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Roller Derby Super Sport SS-800 Men's Inline Skates (Sports) Basically I bought these for indoor use, and they seemed ok, but the very1st time I adjusted them, the lower ring for the velcro strap came right off.. Cheap stitching - - they also did not roll very well, it was almost like I had the brake on the ground, I would slow down extremely quickly. If all of this company's items are made at this quality level - I'd give them a thumb down. - I am glad Amazon's return policy is one of the best there is online, as I got home and filed for a return. I do plan on buying another pair of inline's but not a pair made by this company. I also had ordered size 11's if you normally wear size 11, you may need a 12 because they were extremely narrow and tight. The illustration for these makes it look like the boot has a flex hinge, but from what I could see it was just a dummy plastic piece for looks. All in all - not a very well made product. |
