Superior Pickup Technology You've Been Waiting For: The Performer[TM] lives up to its name, voiced by the Shadow(R) eSonic2[TM] preamp system, featuring the revolutionary Shadow(R) NanoFlex[TM] pickup at the bridge, which is more responsive and faithful in acoustic signal reproduction (and won't "break-up with you" with louder playing, like ordinary piezo-electric pickups) and the Shadow(R) NanoMag[TM] pick-up system, a small, special 3-magnet pickup with internal electronics (that captures a much wider frequency range than ordinary magnetic pickups) that is stealthfully embedded in the end of the fretboard. This review is from: Epiphone Performer ME Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Trans Black (Electronics) I'm so in love with this guitar. The color is beautiful, it sounds amazing, and it's so comfortable to play and hold. It has a neat built-in tuner which is helpful...it's not the greatest, most accurate tuner, but it gets the job done. I've been playing a crappy $90 ebay purchase while I'm away at college (a Huntington guitar? what even is that??), so anything other than that is a step up...but this guitar is perfect. I love it! -- I've been playing guitar for about nine years, but I am by no means a professional or even good at playing guitar. It's no Martin, but this guitar is perfect for me personally.
