I was first recommended to buy a Lanikai LU-21C to start out. I bought one for $75 and realized the headstock was too heavy and made playing awkward while transitioning between chords. I play guitar also so I have an idea of how a string instrument should balance. So I took that one back and played this one. I was super impressed. So impressed that I actually was going to look at other shops to play more brands and sizes but realized that this had everything I needed.
The ukulele is balanced, making playing comfortable, with a lighter headstock than the Lanikai. The neck is smooth, similar to a guitar. It looks great, sounds awesome, comes with a bag, and super fun to play. And at $100 bucks, I couldn't find a reason to pass it up. It also came with a chord chart and a "how-to" page that allows you to play "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.
I wouldn't see why anyone would not be impressed with what Cordoba did with this one. I recommend it

The Overall quality of this uku is excellent. As the first Uku, it's got a gig bag, a tuner and a manual listing several useful chord patterns and two songs. You don't have to spend extra money on accessories. If you have a little knowledge of a string instrument i.e. a guitar, it won't take you too long to start playing these songs.It's got a very good set of strings, which I find worth ten bucks on amazon.com. It stays in tune for every practice session but not as well as a Cordoba guitar. Using a electronic chromatic tuner to test the accuracy of the scale of each fret, I found on the higher frets, notes appeared to be a little bit flat. My guitar has the same problem and I think it does not hurt some much. The tension of the strings is a little bit hard to press down, especially when you want to play barre chords. It will take a little time to get used to it. In general, for the price, this is a good buy.

This Cordoba Uke has very good quality constuction and tone, especially for the price. I have played guitar for many years and decided to try a uke for a change. This is a greal deal for someone wanting to give ukes a try without breaking the bank. I'm sure it will allow me and other family members the opportunity to get into the current uke craze. If you are already familiar with string instruments, you will be playing songs the first day. If not, you will still find this an easy instrument to learn that also provides pleasing tones. The kit provides everything you need to get you going. It would be a great gift for the holidays.
