My feet tend to roll in, and the foot bed on this shoe pulls out so I can insert a firmer orthotic with a higher arch. Even without it, I had been wearing Brooks shoes with the linear footbed in similar styles that did help my pronation problem to a degree. This shoe out of all the Brooks I've worn in the past seems to have the widest and most stable base of all that I've tried. I liked them so much I bought 2 pairs and am thinking of getting a third. The toe box is smaller/snug. I noticed it the moment I put it on. I ran to the computer and there was was "And now with the new softer, more smooth and supple upper." Brooks changed my shoe!!!! Its not the same shoe in the way that is important to me. I have a bunion on my left foot and the Addiction was my addiction for keeping it pain free. In the 7 & 8 versions, I was able to move my toes up and down without touching any part of the toe box, yet still have the shoe firmly tied through the arch and heel. I have had these for over a week and I have been lacing the shoe multiple ways trying to get get it right and I can't. The sole and foot bed feel the same it just seems tighter around my bunion and toes :-( I am soooo disappointed. The appearance of the shoe is cuter, but that was never the reason I chose this shoe in the first place. |
