About a year ago I ordered an exact American Standard replacement through Amazon to replace the very old original seat. It came quickly, of course, but really never fit quite as well as the original. Thankful to get one in the correct American Standard color I kept it. After about a year, some deterioration occurred that I could not correct, so being a neat freak, I started looking for a replacement. I could not find the American Standard one on Amazon in the color I needed so I thought I would take a chance on the Bemis brand. I was not sure if the aftermarket color would match the actual toilet, but was pleasantly surprised that it is PERFECT. AND, it fits the base of the toilet better than the OEM brand.
